I began my career in graphic design as the lead graphic designer for International Media Partners. IMP produced the publication
of record for all of the World Bank and regional Development Bank meetings. I traveled to various countries from Colombia to Cote D'Ivoire in western Africa, and helped to set up
publishing units where I led a team that designed and produced daily newspapers. From there I joined Channell Communications, a graphic design company
that designed numerous print pieces for financial firms and publishing companies.
Then I made a move to the Internet and Dreamlife.com. There I re-created their entire corporate identity as well as all of the print
and online advertising/marketing materials.
After a run at Dreamlife.com, I returned to print as the Promotion Art Director at VNU Inc. I headed the creative efforts for
marketing and sales for six magazines: Adweek, Mediaweek, Brandweek, Editor & Publisher, Technology Marketing and
Sales & Marketing Management. In addition, I managed all the creative design for Adweek Magazines' events and conferences.
From VNU, I became the Art Director for the Marketing Department of Good Housekeeping Magazine. I created an art department
from scratch, hired a staff designer and established a project management system. In addition to maintaining and enhancing GH
brand identity through well-designed executions in print and online, I worked with the marketing team to create advertiser-focused solutions
and oversaw the creation of business to business big ideas, presentations, media kits, sell sheets and event collateral. I also ensured
all design project requests, met deadlines, sourced, hired and managed all freelancers, interns and illustrators.
For the past 5+ years I've been a full-time freelance print and web designer. I have maintained good working relationships with
previous employers and now have some of them as valued clients.
When I am not designing, you can find me snowboarding, skydiving, traveling, volunteering, appreciating the newest art exhibit and
trying to get the most out of the city where i live.
