Hillary Friedman is a graphic designer whose global experience has spanned a diverse range of industries from sports to finance, publishing, technology, beauty and digital media. For over a 15 years, her client roster has included brands such as Nike, Edelman, Reuters, Adweek, Nielsen, CinemaCon, Sonos, Fast Company, Hopstop.com, The CLIO Awards, Time, Teen Vogue, Lucky, Good Housekeeping, Gucci and Jurlique.
Her career in graphic design began at International Media Partners, producing Emerging Markets, the publication of record for world bank conferences — a position which took her to Hong Kong, Geneva, Kiev, Cartegena and the Ivory Coast. She then joined graphic design agency Channel Communications, producing print communications for financial firms and the publishing industry. She followed this with a move to internet at Dreamlife.com, recreating their entire corporate identity and online advertising/marketing materials.
Hillary returned to print design as the Promotion Art Director at VNU (now Nielsen Media), heading the creative efforts for marketing, events and sales at Adweek, Mediaweek, Brandweek, Editor & Publisher and Sales & Marketing Management.
Her last position before embarking on a freelance career was Art Director for Good Housekeeping. At GH she was responsible for creating an in-house art department, maintaining and enhancing the brand identity through well-designed executions in print and online, and working with the marketing team to create advertiser-focused solutions and the creation of B2B big ideas, presentations, media kits, sell sheets and event collateral.
When she is not designing, you can find her snowboarding, hiking, traveling, volunteering, appreciating art exhibits and galleries and trying to experience all that the city she lives in has to offer.
